Important The future of our discord server

Getting more activity on the forums is not the reason for this change.
There are other reasons which I mentioned in my first post.

Also, this kind of discord widget is not an option, since it's literally nothing different than what we have now - A discord server.

the reason we Or at least I think you want to increase the activity on forum is because NON of the reasons you mentions are reasonable:
"we aim to reduce the influence of third-party communities " , Excuse me WHAT? the whole world is going to decentrallization and you are going to step backward?

"this change would allow us to offer increased privacy and security to our users" !! Do you claim that you are better thatn discord in terms of security?
no offence but i dont think so.

The widget was offered for those who wants to use have website chatbox and feel that nostalgia. otherwise chat box in website brings 0 value.

B) unsure if this is possible, but if it was you could make it so you could send / read messages in discord on the website. I’ve never messed with discord api or anything so unsure what is possible but could have a bot that sends the messages sent on the website. You could actually also limit it to a rank feature as well since it doesn’t prevent normal usage of discord chatting.

Its already rejected cuz the widget i mentions doesnt need any bot etc to make.

After talking with the staff internally and analyzing the reactions from the community, we came to a conclusion.

In favor of the community, the update/vote has been canceled.

We see that the majority is not happy about the changes we have planned, so we are listening.

The announcement also seem to be creating some kind of unrest under the community, which is not what we wanted and is unhealthy, therefore we apologize for what it has caused.

With that being said, the discord server remains to be open for everyone who wants to keep being a part of it.

Edit: For the chit chat and stuff, would you still like to have a chatbox regardless of our decision? Including a non-restricted access. Please let us know.

I obviously can't speak for anyone else, but I'd like to have it out there that there's no unrest on my part. I appreciate that the community is included in these decisions.

I can only speak from my personal point of view, but if you get rid of the Discord, the chances of me checking this drop by over 80%.

I am not alone in this, as Discord is currently a very important part of community building. I hope you stay on Discord.
