Official Should Leaks Be Allowed on WoWEmu?

All I would like to say is that you can allow a leak if its old or out dated or not active anymore.
Ya all are developers and you know the feeling of seeing your works all over internet.
Protect the active developers and servers. Allow leaks BUT check with the developer if he is fine or he is earning money from it still or its just a old version of his work. Do not Allow Active servers source to be shared here.

The gentleman above, Reloac, literally admitted that I worked on Serenity for a short time and was paid. I never said I worked alongside you. I made a contribution to Serenity. Hell, without me, Serenity wouldn't exist.

When I made Project Xuen, you and I found Syloxus who gave us the 5.4.8 core which gave you a starting point.

Also keep in mind, you literally used a "leaked" .pdb file from Blizzard themselves to help you reverse 5.4.8. And yet you're upset your work has been publicized.

There are no white knights here that built their own core from scratch, therefore leaks should be celebrated as an "F U" to the entitled devs that want to hoard fixes for themselves.

Go back to the main topic! The guy released the core including email, usernames and etc!! They were his own customer when he owned the server but still nah there is absolutely no goods on leaks.
Only people trying to not bother themselve looking for leaks imo.

Everyone here agrees that leak was bad, obviously. Everyone here saying leaks should be allowed clearly stated that they don't want leaks that include sensitive information.

Regardless the dev idea should be considered. If its going to be allowed, one day if someone shares a leak from a server(for example), its staff member responsibility to contact the owner and check with them. Once again.
If the developer is active and has some income from it it should not be allowed!
As an example i can name brøwler and CyberMist!
Brøwler has some sources that belongs to him and he spent time on it which should not be allowed here.
But he has some other works he does for others and is not under his license any more! Something like retroported item displays, noc displays map etc. Such a thing can still be considered as blizzard licnese.
But no developer custom script should be allowed if dev doesn't want it in public.

That's the entire point of the word "leak". If the dev allows it, it's not a leak. It's a release. The question isn't: Should we allow people's work to be pasted here? The question is: Should we allow people's work to be posted here DESPITE whether or not the original developer allowed it?
