Dang, can't get this to build. I get cmake to create the solution for Visual Studios. Tried cmake for VS2019 and VS2022 and both basically say 80% of the source code is invalid c++ (we're talking over 100,000 errors lol). Anyone have some tips? Maybe windows 11 has something to do with it and I need to boot up a windows 7 virtual machine?

Can somebody explain me why EVERY 6.2.3 client i find and download is either "dying" with - "could not reach cdn" OR if it starts - disconnects instantly with the error:
1698138390404.png

I compiled and build already as close as to all WoD Servers i could find on the internet and the client is everytime throwing that error.
Using pre-patched.exe using my own connection-patcher from building. It just instantly disconnects.
Even the FS Client does this, as soon as i redirect the FS Server IP to localhost - which was just fine connecting seconds ago.

Please - can somebody throw me an idea? Im out of them.

My first VM I tried to compile on had the latest versions of OpenSSL, Cmake, VS2019, VS2022, and MySQL on it. Which I successfully built TrinityCore (BFA) and TrinityCore3.3.5 on.
Yesterday I tried again on a new VM, using EXACT VERSIONS of what THIS POST suggests. OpenSSL 1.0.2, Cmake 3.21.3, MySQL 5.7, and VS2019. With VS having C++ installed, along with all the Win10 and Win11 SDK options selected.

As for what errors, here's some examples of the most commonly repeated (100+ times each):
X should not be defined in header
expected ;
missing ';' before '}'
missing ';' before '*'
C++ does not support default-int
unexpected token before ;

I really only program/code in C# and automatic scripts with python, so most C++ beyond the very basics is so confusing. haha I got TrinityCore to compile just fine, so it's not like I don't have the c++ compiler or something that obvious/silly though, LOL

Just rebuilt the solution in cmake, then opened it with vs2015, same errors PLUS now an additional "enum can not be a constant". Thanks for the suggestion though!!
