This happens when you install the database in the wrong unicode format.

Thank you. But, how to fix this? I understand almost nothing about databases. I just launched the database that was included in the repack. Is it possible to fix it easily with Navicat, for example, or is it better to wait? Maybe the author will fix it.

NOTE: For best results use english (engb/enus) locale, make sure to set it in your config like that of your client.

You can change it in the database, auth / realmlist - make sure you change the info in worldserver/authserver.conf files too, and make sure you portforward and allow your firewall for outside connections.

i'm having issues with this repack when it comes to connecting.
no matter what i do, i can't enter the realm. i even have my realmlist set to 127.0.0.1 as well as my wow config to be 127.0.0.1 and it doesn't say that a server is up. it simply tells me that my information is incorrect.
before you updated your repack, it allowed me to connect. but i couldn't select any realms.

is there any fix?

i do have port forwarding done and dusted by the way.

Try first to log on yourself before you let others to log on, you don't need to have any portforwarding doen to connect yourself on localhost.
Make sure you have the right client, a 5.4.8 one and set your realmlist to 127.0.0.1
