What's your preferred programming language?

So, we obviously have a lot of people who deal with C++, LUA and SQL here (Yes, we'll even include you database nerds in this one).

But what is your preferred language to work with? Do you like the prototype-ability of Python? The speed and performance of Rust? How about the new minimal API's in C#? Maybe you think that Javascript is actually good (weirdo)..! Maybe you make Golang go Brrrr....

It's ok to be the .NET guy, desktop apps are the most used currently, it's up to what you started with first.
I honestly don't care what others say and I enjoy coding.

Oh definitely, I love working with .NET, C# is imo a beautiful language to work with.

So many great features aswell, I love the power and simplicity of EFCore, Blazor makes front end surprisingly easy to do for someone who is primarily backend. MAUI also has great potential, with native compilation for the different system types (RIP Linux).

I think it gets a bit of a bad rap because of the legacy that .NET Framework had, but since Core 3.1 and especially Core 6.0 its really, really coming along nicely.

I only work with .net framework 4.8+ ^^

Pure clean C++ is my all time absolute favorite.

At work we deal a lot with sort of Python and databases so there's that, but nothing will ever beat cpp for me.

Moreover, I'm planning on learning (potentially) Carbon, as it is "designed to replace C++" as rumors say.

Might be controversial but HTML/CSS (+JS). I just started this but also after looking into it, its plain awesome.
I always loved Websites and now in 2023 I started learning HTML/CSS & JS. (I know HTML/CSS are no coding languages)

besides that I know SQL quite a lil, I also like that a lot. (Worked with it for P-Servers, SmartAI etc.) but Im not doing it
anymore, since I dont work at any projects.

My personal favorite is C# (mostly in the .NET Core Framework), even though I'm not programming that much lately. Other than C#, I do enjoy TypeScript (using the Angular Framework), plain javascript, and even TSQL from time to time.
