How well do you find that the 4770 runs Valheim Server? (Also, why running valheim and other game servers as VM's and not as containers [eg, using Pterodactyl]) I have a spare 4770 system collecting dust, that I used to use as my homelab.

I am surprised you ain't having a bottleneck.
Nah 8600k is a solid all around. And I don't really play many games, especially ones that would be fairly intensive. When I do start hitting limits, it's usually RAM while megabasing in Factorio.

In Proxmox the Containers called templates, i use Ubuntu templates for my Game Servers.
The i7 runs very well and has some reserves and consumes under 50 watts.

Yeah I getcha now. I thought you were running a full Ubuntu VM for the server, which was a lot of extra overhead :D
