What's the fun in fun servers?

So, I am not trying to sound like I hate them, but I have never found out or felt that "Fun Servers" are fun.

I am curious about what people find fun in "Fun Servers". Is it the high damage numbers or something else?

The progression for most of these servers is pretty "bad" compared to normal WoW progression, or that's just my point of view. But then again, it might just be the fun servers I tried.

So, I want to ask everyone who enjoys the Fun Servers: what do you enjoy about them?
I want to understand/learn what others find fun on these servers and open my mind a bit more to these fun servers.

Well, funservers usually save you the time you normally invest in leveling up. Most of them are instant max level server.

Also most of them focus on PvP only (Or at least what I remember it was), with a side adventure in doing raids to get top gear - unless you can buy top gear through donating (Which I personally dislike)

So overall, funservers are mainly just there to fuck around and don't "waste" time leveling up going through the standart way of leveling throughout the world.

Note: At least that is what I remember it was when I last played, which should be around 2015. No idea how the Funservers nowadays look alike or focus on, I'd guess custom zones, retroported stuff etc.. What wasn't really a thing back then since "technology" was not there yet.

Would you consider playing fun servers if they had PvE progression also, or would you only like it pure PvP?

What I mean by PvE progression, I think Unlimited WoW or whatever the server is called, just without the fucking pay to win and insane grinds.

Well that is up to personal preference of course, but I'd rather like more pvp than pve. Also by the fact that I am mainly a solo player and rarely play in groups.
Or at least don't play with so called "randoms", better to have friends that u can rely on.

I had enough of queueing with randoms on lost ark, just to fail raid after raid just because they didn't know what they were doing.
