Open vmap4assembler issue

Hello guys, i have add some new custom maps and put it on patch-5.mpq, i execute the map extractor and it work perfectly BUT, when i execute the vmap4assembler it dont work, just that, the windows close immediately, any idea why that is happening please??

you should try to reply to ur previous topics instead of creating new ones since it keeps everything all in one place.

Hello, you would use the wotlk vmap extraction tool, with the custom mpq patch inside ur data folder. Well you will need 2, one in “…/WoW/Data” named patch-4.mpq or anything after 3, pretty sure letters would work as well. You also have to have a duplicate of the patch in “…/WoW/Data/enUS” or whatever version your client is. But this one should be “patch-enus-4.mpq” whatever the version your client is instead of enus. I’m not positive what the last patch # is for patch-enus-#.mpq but can just use any number after it might also work with letters. Then run the extractors, the reason you need the duplicate is because when the tools extract vmaps it reads the files in data/enUS last so it overwrites your dbc files.
I’m guessing either you didn’t have luck with this, I’m guessing either you either created the map incorrectly or misunderstood the directions. I can upload a picture in a little while to hopefully help more.
