Official Introducing a new Rank: Developer

Greetings Emudevs,

We're excited to announce the addition of a new claimable usergroup/rank on Emudevs called "Developer." We believe that this rank is a valuable addition to our existing lineup.

What does this Usergroup entail?

This usergroup signifies your identity as an emulation developer, whether it's related to Lineage or World of Warcraft. Your proficiency in any coding language is welcome, and there are no restrictions. It's an opportunity to showcase your contributions to the community, demonstrating that you are actively involved in creating tools, scripts, and more. By being part of this usergroup, you become a key member of Emudevs.

Username​

How to attain this rank:

• Open a ticket.​
• Submit evidence of your status as a developer, which may include:​
  • A link to your GitHub profile.​
  • Submission of your scripts.​
  • Responsiveness to any questions we may pose to you.​

Requiremens:

• Active GitHub
• Meaningful commits
• self branded website(preferred)

Q: Why are we asking for these requirements?
A: We aim to endorse active developers. This rank is a status symbol of an active developer who contributes meaningfully to projects.
Q: My request was rejected. Can I reapply?
A: Yes. Your rejection should have reasons as to why you were not selected. Please review and apply once you are meeting requirements and requests.

What are the benefits:

• Forum Rank, which includes a distinct username color and userbar.
• Visibility in the recently online widget, allowing you to stand out.
• Forum Award recognizing your developer status.
• Discord Role to further showcase your affiliation.

Does being a copypaste dev make me eligible for this rank?

A)Capable of copying and editing code to make it work for newer versions.
B)Steal scripts and rework them, and remove credit and write my own name instead (Referring to webdevs here? kekw)

That's a great question.

I would say that if you're able to fix code, you'd be considered a developer to some degree. As for the stealing scripts and reworking them, that's a good question as well -- if you're reworking and the work be passed off as an improvement? I would still give credit to the original work but anything after that, sure. Then question C: Who are you describing?
