Staff Forum Rules

We rely on all forum members to help keep these forums a safe place for people to share and view information. To do this, we request that all members comply with the following rules when contributing to the forums:

• Keep it friendly (There is no need to be an ass, you just end up with people thinking you're an ass.)
• Be courteous and respectful. Appreciate that others may have an opinion different from yours. (Just because you think that your opinion is the right opinion, doesn't mean you can break Rule 1.)
• Stay on topic. When creating a new discussion thread, give a clear topic title and put your post in the appropriate category. When contributing to an existing discussion, try to stay 'on topic'. If something new comes up within a topic that you would like to discuss, start a new thread!
• Share your knowledge. Don't hold back in sharing your knowledge – it's likely someone will find it useful or interesting.
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech.
• If you share a resource that isn't your creation, please provide credit to those who created it.
• Absolutely no posting of any form of Malware, either compiled or as source code. Posting or sharing of Malware or other 'hacking' tools, will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the forums.

We maintain the rights to remove posts and threads to ensure that material posted in the discussion forums is not potentially harmful. For this reason, we may edit or choose not to publish any post, that:

• contains disrespectful or derogatory remarks about any person
• contains advice or content that we believe is damaging, unhelpful or distressing to others
• contains offensive language, is nonsensical and/or irrelevant
• promotes personal beliefs in a way that is disrespectful of the choices of others
• is racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit or suggestive, abusive or otherwise discriminatory or objectionable

Rule Ammendem:

For clarification. Spamming will result in removed posts.

Sending single letter replies, constites as spam.

During events where awards are given on a % chance per post, spam posts will be removed. Users who breach this rule excessively to win awards, may have their awards redacted from their account, and possibly be barred from participating in similar events in the future.

We should all aim to keep the forums as a creative place, full of high quality content, and low quality shitposting only ever goes counter to that goal.
