it needs patch9 and patchv it makes sense. i have no idea how a
perfect compile was released and it would be great if i could find it again
since my main storage crashed and burned without notice. i had a few things
on storage drive 2 thankfully and the scriptpack was released and it was really
difficult to find opensll 1.0.1c again of course it was on mediafire 2 hours later.
weird bot wars would not compile without it not even openssl 1.0.2. im like no
way man. when i found 1.0.1c it compiled perfectly. im still looking over patchv
which i extracted it is incredibly complicated ill figure it out sooner or later.

Are you still working on it? I currently try working with a friend on trying to setup a WoD Server and its the same error with EVERY client we find in the web.
Even if the Server Address is resolved it does this. I tried with the FS Client and redirected the IP to my localhost but it does not work. "reason:8" is everytime the same.
Maybe you have an idea?

You need the specified client build in order to login ofc, otherwise the realm shows as missing for sure and it won't even show as incompatible

Nah - i worked for nearly 1 week basically 15 hours per day on setting up the server - it worked - i now also understand all the quirky things you need to use a 6.2.3 or 6.2.4 client. I setup an own CDN like Firestorm to download and "fix" the newer "Blizzard" Client that happend in 6.2.4.
You cannot leave the UD Start zone in that DB, because you cannot complete one of the first quests because the script/npc is broken. I fixed that, but these things happen even in some other start zones and i didnt really look into things after lvl 20.
MOP is basically spawned and might even be scripted enough, but you cannot start the Quest for going to Pandaria.
Draenor seems good, but i expected that, because it was the Goal of the Projects. I would like to go for an 1-100 Server not only Endgame.
TC basically ignored WoD - and the only people that seem to have worked on Draernor and such, are the Hellscream Project , Firestorm and i think there was another project that was mentioned in the source.
Setting up the Server, give people access to the client is all no problem anymore now - but i'm just not capable enough of scripting and fixing all the deeper, more complex bugs and broken Quests, or the thinks that need to get fixed in the Core.
So if anybody really wants a WoD Server to get going - you can hit me up. I can help and even sponsor a server for some time, if you can fix the more complex things.

Is there any update on this? i am just trying to get any repack to work and I am not having any luck, i was going to try the stable version but the links are dead. I just wanted to play around with a stable version for my own entertainment it has been a LONG time since i set up a private server (which i have been successful in the past), i would like to play with the newest obtainable repack to be able play the most content but at this point i am just wanting something to work and i have ran through several that aren't working, any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!
