Any thoughts on paid Eluna scripts?

Hi!
Let's say you were searching for a script that implements/changes a feature, system, or whatever, and you found a script made for Eluna that costs money. Would you consider buying it if it sells for a reasonable price, and is well-made?
Or would you avoid it and try to create a script yourself instead?

I guess the latter depends on the complexity. The lower the complexity, the more likely you'll try to create it yourself.

For me it's an easy answer. If you can create it yourself, no matter what the complexity is, then you should do it yourself. Why spending money on something, that you can do yourself? You'd just waste money.

But if it's something you really demand and can't create yourself, then you can of course invest money and get it coded from somebody else, if the price is appropriate.

Otherwise it would just make no sense at all and you would literally be kidding yourself.

If it's cheap enough I can see 2 reasons to buy a complex script, even if you have the experience to create it yourself. To save time and use it as a base to extend/change further. Of course, that'd mean having to learn how the script works. But if it's a well-organized and documented script it shouldn't take long.
Although, the amount of time saved might not be worth it after the time spent on learning how the script works.

So yeah, I agree the most likely scenario someone would buy a script is like you said. If the price is within your budget and you really need it and can't create it yourself.
