Lineage?

So I’ve never really strayed from WoW as far as rpg type games go and I see a lot of lineage posts here, is lineage 2 what I’m supposed to look up? Is it worth taking a look at?

Emm if you want to learn about the game yes why not.

For example I wont even touch a WoW thing since for me the game is such a cancer, ugly animations, ugly everything. Not trying to shit on your preferences tho
Wasnt trying to offend WoW community ofc, but L2 is a whole different world of possibilities. Worth giving a try.

I guess everything with the proper tools is worth, the knowledge and experience costs just some time. The tools are the problem always xD

Imo it's a fun hobby if you're into game development, but for the most part there isn't really any clear guides on how to make things work or a list of tools easily available. Though if you do decide to start the hobby, luckily EmuDevs has some great resources and people with experience willing to help guide newcomers.

The thing that turned me off WoW the most were the cartoon graphics and the fact it wasnt really open world where everyone inhabited the same map at all times. At least with Lineage the art direction was a bit more on the realistic side for the time and the world felt alive with everybody running around without instances. Which is probably why when Lineage 2 started copying WoW(instanced content) it was when the interest for the game started to slowly wane. I dont doubt WoW is a great game but it just never appealed to me.
