Would You Use ChatGPT if it Served Ads?

We all know ads are an absolute website killer, but so many people are using ChatGPT for free it's quite tempting to monetize it (I mean, other than the fact Microsoft has invested a ton of money into it recently).
Since ChatGPT is legit amazing, would you STILL use it even with ads?

The current version of GPT uses 18 million arguments, the follow-up version which is coming later in 2023 will use 18 trillion arguments, it will definitely come with a price, just like the GitHub Copilot did.

Will I personally be using it if it comes with a price? Depends on the new knowledge and information the robot has. The current model was trained and bases its knowledge on the data that was public in 2021. It still uses ADD_GOSSIP_ITEM macros for gossip scripts, which has been outdated since 2017.

The bot can be helpful in many situations, but it literally just scrapes the internet for knowledge and then modifies it to fit the users request input, all of us can do the same with enough time and patience.

And I do wholeheartedly believe that we should strive to explore and expand our knowledge instead of relying on a grunt worker robot to complete simple tasks for us.

I would consider using ChatGPT even if it included ads or required a premium subscription, as long as the price was reasonable.

I remember reading recently that each query with ChatGPT costs around 0.05 USD to run, considering that, I'd use it as a free-meium service no problem.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't be opposed to ads, but idk if that would be enough... at least to cover the cost if it is 0.05 USD per query. Even 1 advertisement every single query, you aren't getting 5 cents for 1 ad view.

Depends on how the ads would be implemented but probably yes.
