Hello everyone,

I'm trying to troubleshoot this, but perhaps I'm just too tired or overlooking something. What I'm aiming for is to have the breaking news box displayed to the client consistently. With the assistance of @Pluton , I've found a solution that allows me to host a webpage for server news. While this solution is close to what I need, it doesn't persist beyond the login screen; once logged in and on the character screen, it disappears.

I've come across suggestions that indicate it may require a client-side edit, but this doesn't feel quite right to me. I've also noticed that on Warmane, I can see their realm news regardless of where I obtained the client. This makes me think we're on the right track, but not quite there yet. If this issue has already been discussed and solutions shared publicly, I apologize for not coming across it yet.

Here's an example of what I am looking for:

And here is what I have found so far:

Thanks to everyone who tries to help.

I have made some more progress in terms of styling and getting this up and running. It's not perfect but it works with MySQLi I will release this momentarily for anyone following this.

the problem with this methode is that you cant ask your players to go modify their windows host file as some wont want to or simply cant.

the solution is to change SERVER_ALERT_BETA_URL = "http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/alert"; to your server link in GlueStrings.lua but doing so break the original client (you need a patched wow)

there is another method thru the warden module too for azerothcore https://github.com/AnchyDev/BreakingNewsOverride , for tc i believe someone showed it off on ac-web years ago

I wonder how Warmane is doing it? I don’t have their client but I still see their breaking news. This is something that’s going to drive me crazy. I need to know lol.

After waking up and reading a little more closely, I realized you attached a module for AzerothCore. I will look at how this is done and see if I can implement it into TrinityCore. Thank you again for sharing this.

So, now that I have done a little more digging. I have determined that I will not be pursuing this any further.

To get this working like AzerothCore would require updating dependencies and Warden(possibly more). I don't have the desire to do that at this time.
