Yooo,
Suppose I should do one of these too.
Hi, I am Kerpackie. I am a software developer from Ireland. My background before I moved into software was Cloud Architecture, and Team Management.
I used to post under the name cillian on ac-web, having joined in early 2008, I was an avid poster for a few years, however in the early 2010s I had fell out of love with WoW Emulation and would return once every few years to soak up some nostalgia.
It was exactly this led me to attempt to log in to ac-web again recently where I had learned of its demise, and shortly after the revival was thrown around so I instantly contacted Splicho expressing my interest in partaking. I am a bit fan of preserving history (am a bit of a data horder) so I was very much interested in attempting to archive what was possible to gather from the old site.
While on ac-web I spent a lot of my time honing my photoshop skills, where I had made a few releases, and tutorials. I also used to host "The Official Ac-Web Ventrillo Server" while that was still a thing.
Fun fact: I originally got into development after me and some friends licked a cactus and thought it was funny, so we made a website to put it online. (Pre-youtube), this gave me my first insight into it, and I joined ac-web not long after which had cemented my interest in the space.
So yeah, that's me. So while I am not necessarily active in the WoW Emulation space, it has a special place in my heart, so I do wish for it to succeed as its where my beginnings lie. I hope to provide my own contributions a bit more actively now that Christmas is over and I have no big projects in work on hand.
Bonus: Attached is a picture of me to put a name to a face.
