Attention all WoWEmu.org community members,
We would like to address two recent developments within the community that have caused concern among our members. Firstly, it has come to our attention that a well-known user on forum.emudevs.gg and a known user in the WoW emulation scene in general, Instadev, aka. Dandi, has been banned on WoWEmu for selling other people's work, specifically the anti-cheat from M'Dic (WoW Modding). We want to remind everyone that the unauthorized distribution of intellectual property is not tolerated within the community, and we will take the necessary steps to prevent such actions in the future. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to selling other people's work, and we will continue to enforce this policy to ensure the fairness and integrity of our community.
Secondly, we would like to address the recent demotion of Kerpackie from the community manager rank. This decision was made due to his failure to keep us up to date with the recent events regarding the incident with Dandi and M'Dic, as well as sharing and leaking internal staff chats to individuals outside of the staff team. However, sharing internal staff chats can be a violation of our privacy policies and reputation.
We understand that these developments may have caused concern among the community, but we want to assure everyone that we are taking the necessary steps to address these issues and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Additionally, we want to inform everyone that since Kerpackie has been demoted, the Community Manager rank is now unoccupied. We are currently open to accepting new staff members who are interested in filling this role. If you are passionate about WoW emulation and have experience in community management, we encourage you to apply. We are looking for individuals who are committed to upholding our values and policies and working towards creating a safe and fair environment for all members.
Thank you for your attention and understanding.
Sincerely,
WoWEmu.org Administration
