- Always communicate about pricing in public, to avoid getting tricked
- If using PayPal, DO NOT send Friends & Family payments to avoid risks of getting scammed & voiding PayPal Buyer Protection for 180 days
- Recommended: use the "Half Now, Half When Done" payment method, which means: send an advance now, and the rest when the project is done

- Always have public pricing
- Always provide evidence of your product in action
- Always provide installation tutorial(s) or assistance to install the product (possibly for an extra charge)
- Always provide the payment methods you support by default
- Recommended: always send updates about the product for the buyer to see & provide feedback and possible redirections
