Hey everyone, so I started thinking of a project I would try making and hopefully, make it a public server later on. I got some ideas and, would like to ask for the communities feedback on the ideas... Better to have more eyes on an idea to catch the downsides of them.
So, I LOVE Diablo and been thinking what if I did some changes to spells, talents classes and specs to make it just more like Diablo. I know, Diablo is an ARPG, which WoW isn't and, I don't really feel like changing the core combat system (I would think that is an insane task for 1 person). So I was thinking, what if I change so you can only have 4 - 5 spells at once. This way I would end up with the spell limit like Diablo normally has.
I would remove talents & specs from the game, but put the passives into a glyph like system (D3 runes on abilities) or, might make a new kind of system for passives.
The end-game would be getting the best gear but you can do all content solo, where professions would come into play to make the best of the best, this would make the AH and player made economy fun for the players who likes to farm and earn gold.
There would obviously be an "end" to the grind for gear, since I understand that no one wants to grind forever on private servers, which is understandable.
There would also be gems that you can level up for higer stats (D3 greater rifts gems).
The thing with this is that, would it even be fun to have the leveling part, if yes, what should players earn from leveling?
