Staff Quote Contest [ENDED]

Hello people of WoWEmu.org!

We are in the need of a few quotes/tips from the community for our unannounced project. So we thought about making a small contest, to encourage people to participate and help us.
The instructions are simple.

• Post below your best 5 tips/quotes.
• The quote/tip has to be dedicated to world of warcraft and-/or emulation.
• The quote/tip must have a length of a single sentence.
• The quote has to be useful for newbies or enhanced users.

Once the content has ended, we will analyze all posted quotes and decide on TOP 3 winners based on their submitted quotes.

Tip #2; Regularly back up your servers database, source files to protect against corruption and data loss.

Tip #3; Regularly check for updates from the original developers to address bugs, vulnerabilities or incomplete content.

Tip #4; Familiarize yourself with server commands and their functions.

Tip #5; Prioritize security measures, such as firewalls to prevent unauthorized access.

- Security above all : always have strong and very long and mixed passwords for all important stuff : mysql user / admin account / soap ....
- always check your emulator documentation for installation / databases a lot of usefull info can be found there.
- google is your friend , if none works you're more than welcome to post your issues in emulation communities like wowemu
- a good server owner / staff memeber is a good player who knows its way arround the content and mechanics
- having a ddos and brute force protection and vigilance regarding granting access to your server files / structure is a must !

1) Save every 5 minutes using noggit.
2) If you bother someone with knowledge make sure you did your homework first, otherwise you risk burning a bridge.
3) backup your database daily to an external location.
4) DON'T use someone else's work without permission, even if its posted somewhere. (It'll bite you in the butt later)
5) two screens..... use two monitors...so many tabs.....

Sorry for delaying the message. But unfortunately, the project was abandoned.
However, since I don't want to keep this from you, I'll tell you what we have planned.

We had planned to migrate to MyBB including a new theme. This update should have been WoWEmu V3.
The quotes were meant to be displayed on the pre-loader when you enter the site.
